Semi-slick tire Nankang CRS / CR-S 225/45R17 94W XL Not road approved

The Nankang CRS / CR-S in size 225/45R17 is a semi-slick tire developed for sports vehicles used on circuits, trackdays, historic climbs, leisure driving or performance preparation. Designed to offer a high level of grip and a precise feel while driving, it is aimed at drivers looking for a high-performance, incisive and durable tire during intensive use.

Função da peça

The tire provides the direct connection between the vehicle and the ground. On a sports car, it plays an essential role in traction, braking, steering precision and support stability. The Nankang CRS / CR-S uses a competition-style design with an optimized tread to maximize the contact surface, promote temperature rise and guarantee excellent cornering performance.

Its two wide circumferential grooves located on the inner part of the tread, combined with a greater side wall angle and a rounded groove bottom, allow efficient water evacuation. This design improves behavior on wet surfaces while maintaining the performance expected of a semi-slick.

Sintomas ou consequências de um pneu gasto ou defeituoso

• Aumento das distâncias de travagem
• Comportamento menos preciso ao mudar de suporte

• Irregular wear that can cause vibrations or loss of stability
• Decreased steering feel and driving confidence

Vantagens da substituição

• Improved grip on the track and in sporty driving
• Better steering precision thanks to a rigid sidewall
• More stable behavior during sustained support in turns
• Rapid heat dissipation thanks to micro-grooves in the middle band
• Better efficiency on wet ground compared to a very closed semi-slick
