2L Engine Oil Pressure Accumulator (305 mm, manual)

Designed to address drops in oil pressure during racing, this device serves two essential functions:

• Pressurizing the oil circuit before the engine is started.
• Compensating for oil pressure drops within the circuit.

This sealed cylinder contains a piston that separates the oil from the air. It fills automatically based on the oil pressure, reaching an equilibrium between the air pressure and the oil pressure. Consequently, if the oil pressure drops, the stored oil is released to compensate for the loss.

It can be ordered with three types of valves:

• Manual valve: Quarter-turn operation for direct control.
• Standard solenoid valve: Rapid draining and slow filling; ideal for pressurizing before startup or for applications such as drag racing.
• EPC solenoid valve: Perfect for competition use; it automatically discharges when a warning threshold is reached. It comes with three preset minimum pressure warning thresholds. This is the only valve approved for competition use for pressurizing before startup and providing compensation during a race.

Key installation instructions: Mounts to the existing oil circuit via a sandwich plate and a T-fitting downstream of the oil cooler, or directly onto the oil pan. It is recommended to position the oil-side connection slightly higher than the "air" side to prevent the accumulation of air bubbles.
