This page explains how we use the information you share with us and how to exercise your personal data rights.

Who is responsible for your data?

The controller is SABOUL AUTO SPORT, registration number 894 453 141, 952 La Saboulardière, Villedieu-la-Blouère, 49450 Beaupréau-en-Mauges, France. Contact: contact@saboulautosport.com.

Which data do we use, and why?

Customer accounts and orders
Identity, contact details, addresses, order references and information needed for purchases, delivery, returns and after-sales service. These uses are based on preparing or performing the contract.
Invoicing and accounting
Information on invoices and supporting records is processed to meet legal obligations.
Contact requests
Your email address, message and any attachment are used to respond. Depending on the request, this is based on precontractual steps, contract performance or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Website operation and security
Technical browsing data, including IP addresses, and technical cookies support website operation and abuse prevention. Security is based on our legitimate interest; cookies strictly necessary for the requested service do not require consent.

Required fields are indicated on forms. Without the necessary information, we cannot handle the relevant request or order. Please do not include sensitive personal data or confidential banking information in messages.

Who may receive your data?

Authorised Saboul Auto Sport personnel and necessary service providers may access information relevant to their tasks: hosting provider o2switch, technical providers, carriers and, for direct shipping, the supplier delivering your order. Our carriers are described on the Delivery & lead times page.

Depending on your payment method, Monetico, PayPal or banks process the information necessary for payment under their own obligations. Data may also be disclosed to authorities where required by law.

Newsletters, advertising and cookies

We do not currently offer a newsletter or carry out targeted advertising. Using the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing communications.

Technical cookies support functions such as sessions and baskets. Non-essential trackers, where used, require appropriate information and prior consent unless a legal exemption applies. You can also manage cookies in your browser; blocking necessary cookies may affect website functions.

Any new use for marketing or advertising will be accompanied by specific information and, where necessary, your consent.

How long is data kept?

  • Accounts and customer relationships: for as long as necessary to manage the account, orders and after-sales service. You may request account closure.
  • Contact requests: while the request is handled, then only as necessary for the ongoing relationship or the establishment, exercise or defence of rights, within applicable limitation periods.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 10 years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required by law.
  • Other supporting records: for the legal retention or limitation periods applicable to the document and relationship concerned.

Closing an account does not delete documents we are legally required to retain. Retention depends on the purpose and data category, rather than account status alone.

Providers and international transfers

Some providers, including PayPal if you choose that payment method, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Transfers must rely on an adequacy decision or safeguards provided by the GDPR. See PayPal’s privacy statement for its own arrangements. Contact us for information about recipients and safeguards for processing for which we are responsible.

Your rights

Subject to GDPR conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may also give instructions about your data after your death under French law.

Send requests to contact@saboulautosport.com or to the postal address above, specifying the right you wish to exercise. Identity evidence is requested only if there is reasonable doubt, and proportionately. We normally respond within one month; any necessary extension permitted by the GDPR will be notified.

You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
