MOTUL SPECIFIC 0720 5W30 1L engine oil

RENAULT developed RN0720 for oils that withstand the most demanding thermal stresses while remaining compatible with modern after-treatment systems. With low sulphated ash, sulphur and phosphorus (Low SAPS), this oil extends the life of emissions control systems such as the diesel particulate filter (DPF). Its 100% synthetic base provides excellent thermal stability and high-temperature resistance. It prevents deposits and sludge, keeping the engine clean and preventing piston ring seizure. Lubricant protection and performance are maintained even under extreme conditions. Low volatility reduces oil consumption, while exceptional oxidation resistance supports the extended drain intervals specified by the manufacturer. It meets demanding performance and durability requirements, validated notably by the Long Life Renault (LLR) test.

RN0720 applies to all RENAULT diesel engines with DPF, except the 2,2L dCi with DPF, and to RENAULT Laguna III 1,5L dCi without DPF built before October 2008 and Kangoo II 1,5L dCi without DPF built before June 2008. If in doubt, consult the vehicle maintenance handbook before use. Based on Renault RN0720, MERCEDES-BENZ MB 226.51 requires engine lubricants that withstand the most severe thermal stresses and are compatible with modern after-treatment systems. MB 226.51 applies to Renault-origin diesel engines with DPF fitted in MERCEDES vehicles that require this specification.
