Discover MOTUL’s bio-based synthetic engine lubricant, designed to optimise fuel economy. Ideal for hybrid electric vehicles (H.E.V) and plug-in hybrids (P.H.E.V) fitted with modern petrol engines, whether turbocharged or naturally aspirated, with direct or indirect injection. This product is specially formulated for engines requiring SAE 0W-8 grade oils, offering low friction and a very low HTHS (High Temperature High Shear) viscosity of 1,7 mPa.s.

The MOTUL NGEN HYBRID 0W-8 formula meets the technical challenges of hybrid engines, such as fuel dilution, water emulsification and frequent stops/starts. Its advanced technology ensures optimum performance even at lower oil temperatures. Incorporating 25% organic base oil from renewable resources, this formula helps reduce Motul’s carbon footprint by 25% during manufacture. The containers are made from 50% recycled plastic and are fully recyclable.

MOTUL NGEN represents Motul’s commitment to sustainable solutions, incorporating innovative technologies into its formulations and packaging to minimise environmental impact. This oil also suits engines requiring an SAE 0W-8 grade or “Fuel Economy” lubricant according to JASO GLV-1. It is also suitable for BEV electric vehicles with a petrol combustion engine serving as a range extender.

JASO GLV-1 is the first standard to require high fuel-economy performance without compromising engine protection, even with fuels containing up to 85% ethanol (E85). The SAE 0W-8 viscosity grade considerably reduces hydrodynamic friction, maximising fuel savings, particularly when cold. It also ensures excellent oil circulation, instant oil pressure, rapid engine speed increases and faster engine warm-up, whatever the operating mode.
