Reducing this heat lets your engine breathe cooler air, optimising its efficiency and power.

Which DEI exhaust heat wrap should you choose?

Option 1: Glass Fiber Series A standard woven fibreglass solution offering effective thermal insulation (648°C direct / 1093°C radiant). Available in beige and black, it is economical, flexible and easy to fit, although less durable and requiring a silicone coating for improved fluid resistance. Perfect for racing cars, motorcycles and conventional applications.

Option 2: EXO Series Designed for extreme off-road environments, this high-temperature fibreglass with a stainless steel exoskeleton offers excellent resistance to impacts, vibrations and moisture. Withstands 648°C direct / 1093°C radiant heat, available in beige and black. More durable and rigid than the Glass Fiber Series, a silicone coating is recommended but not essential. Ideal for rallying, 4x4, motocross.

Option 3: Titanium Series Maximum performance and protection. Made from woven lava fibre, it offers superior thermal insulation (982°C direct / 1371°C radiant), exceptional flexibility and requires no silicone coating. Available in titanium and black titanium colours, it is perfect for top-level racing cars and high-performance applications. Maximum durability and resistance.

Notes:

• 1 : Heat wrap is not designed to be moved or removed after exposure to heat. Once heated, the fibres lose their initial flexibility, although this does not affect their thermal properties.
• 2 : DEI does not recommend wrapping titanium exhausts. The alloys used for these systems are often thin and designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping a titanium exhaust, regardless of brand, can retain too much heat, making the alloy brittle and liable to crack prematurely.
