An engine’s performance depends directly on the amount of air entering its cylinders. The more freely the air flows, the better the efficiency. Original airboxes and filters can restrict this flow. Replacing these components with a direct induction kit considerably optimises airflow by reducing pressure losses. This kit removes the original airbox and often shortens the distance between the air intake and the engine. The result is a noticeable increase in power at low engine speeds, as well as improved torque and acceleration. To avoid drawing in hot air, it is recommended to insulate the induction kit in the engine compartment.
