Operation:

The system uses infrared transmission between the steering wheel and relay module to ensure instant, interference-free communication. The infrared transmitter, mounted behind the steering wheel, is battery-powered and consumes power only when a button is pressed. An LED indicates battery status. The relay module allows the operating mode of each button to be configured:

• Mode 1: Momentary (active while the button is held).
• Mode 2: Latching without memory (press for ON, press again for OFF).
• Mode 3: Latching with memory (remains active even after power is cut).
• Mode 4: Slow flashing (minimum 5 seconds).
• Mode 5: Fast flashing (minimum 3 flashes).
• Mode 6: Slow flashing with latching.

Each relay channel has an LED indicating its status and can be wired for 12V or 0V output.

Compatibility and customisation:

The Cartek system fits most racing and aftermarket steering wheels. It comes with a customisation kit containing multicoloured and UV fluorescent stickers, ideal for use in low-light conditions.

The complete system includes:

• A universal steering wheel panel with eight tactile buttons and an infrared transmitter.
• An infrared receiver and relay control module that manages the functions of each button.
• Two sticker sheets for customising the steering wheel buttons.
