Turbocharger heat shields minimise the heat emitted by the turbo, prevent damage caused by high temperatures and boost engine performance. They retain heat inside the turbo, accelerating boost build-up and increasing engine efficiency. By lowering under-bonnet temperatures, they also protect other components vulnerable to heat, extending their service life.

DEI turbo shield range:

1. Ultra 47™ Heat resistance: 980°C radiant and 730°C direct. Compatible with most turbos, it retains heat in the turbo, improving boost build-up time and reducing under-bonnet heat to extend the life of sensitive components.
2. Titanium™ & Onyx™ Heat resistance: 980°C (titanium) or 1370°C (onyx) radiant and 730°C (titanium) or 980°C (onyx) direct. In addition to the features of the Ultra 47™, they have silica insulation layers, increased flexibility and stainless steel reinforcements for improved corrosion resistance and optimised attachment.
3. Titanium™ GEN-3 & Onyx™ GEN-3 Heat resistance: 980°C radiant and 730°C direct. In addition to the features of the Titanium™ & Onyx™ ranges, they include more durable stainless steel wires, a silicone outer coating for better durability and resistance to oil and chemicals, and an internal stainless steel mesh lining for additional protection.
