Choosing the right DEI thermal wrap:

Option 1: Glass Fiber Series An economical woven fibreglass solution providing good thermal insulation (648°C direct / 1093°C radiant). Available in beige and black, easy to fit, but requires a silicone coating for better fluid resistance. Ideal for racing cars, motorcycles and classic applications.

Option 2: EXO Series Designed for extreme off-road environments, with high-temperature fibreglass and a stainless steel exoskeleton for increased resistance to impacts, vibrations and moisture. Withstands 648°C direct / 1093°C radiant heat, available in beige and black. More durable and rigid than the Glass Fiber Series. Silicone coating recommended but not essential. Perfect for rallying, 4x4s and motocross.

Option 3: Titanium Series Maximum performance and protection with woven lava fibre providing superior thermal insulation (982°C direct / 1371°C radiant), excellent flexibility and no need for a silicone coating. Available in titanium and black titanium, ideal for high-performance racing cars. Maximum durability and resistance.

Notes:

1. The thermal wrap is not designed to be moved or removed after exposure to heat. The fibres lose their initial flexibility once heated, without affecting their thermal properties.
2. DEI advises against wrapping titanium exhausts, as the thin alloys used are designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping a titanium exhaust can retain too much heat, making the alloy brittle and prone to premature cracking.
