MSD Digital 6AL-2 Programmable electronic ignition module

MSD ignition modules stand out for their ability to generate three sparks per cylinder up to 3000 rpm, optimising engine torque and performance. Above this threshold, a single spark persists for 20° of crankshaft rotation, ensuring complete combustion of the air/fuel mixture in each cylinder.

The MSD 6AL-2 Programmable model sends a pulse of over 535 volts to the coil, delivering spark energy of up to 135 millijoules. This version allows the ignition advance to be programmed across the entire rev range to maximise engine power. Connection is made via a PC using the supplied cable and requires the installation of "MSD Pro Data +" software.

Suitable for 4, 6 and 8-cylinder engines, this module works with a contact breaker distributor, an electronic distributor or an electronic amplifier. It offers two rev limiters: a standard one to protect the engine and another for launch control, limiting engine speed to a precise level during clutch engagement. Several rotary switches on the housing allow each limiter to be adjusted precisely to within 100 rpm.

The module is supplied with all connectors, wiring harnesses and accessories required for installation. Features:
