MSD Digital 6AL-2 electronic ignition module

MSD ignition modules stand out for their ability to generate three sparks per cylinder up to 3000 rpm, considerably boosting torque and optimising your engine’s performance. Above this speed, a single spark remains active for 20° of crankshaft rotation, ensuring complete combustion of the air/fuel mixture in each cylinder.

The MSD 6AL-2 model sends a pulse of over 535 volts to the coil and delivers spark energy of up to 135 millijoules. Suitable for 4, 6 and 8-cylinder engines, it works with a contact-breaker distributor, an electronic distributor or an electronic amplifier. Installation is simple, requiring only two connectors for optimum wiring harness management.

This ignition module has two rev limiters:

• A standard limiter to protect your engine.
• An additional limiter acts as launch control, limiting engine speed to a precise level during clutch engagement. Rotary switches on the housing allow precise adjustment to within 100 rpm for each limiter.

The product is supplied with all connectors, wiring harnesses and accessories needed for installation.
